Eileen Gertrude Green was born in 1924 and brought up in the Wirral Peninsula, Cheshire, England, UK.
She has always had a passion for art and ceramics, and began with pottery, and later moved on to painting in oils, acrylics, watercolours, pastels, and charcoal drawings.
Largely self-taught she has exhibited her work in Cambridge, England, UK. Her earlier work is mostly landscapes and still life, whilst her later work became more abstract, with some examples of collage. She also spent some time working with enamels on copper, and some book cover illustrations.
